The Management

Julia 'Jules' Sherred - General Manager and Programming Director

Location: Duncan, British Columbia, Canada

Genre: Alternative, Rock, Indie, Pop, Dance, Electronic and more

Confirmed to be a “Geek God” by some online quiz and dubbed “The Queen of Geek” by many of her fans, Julia “Jules” Sherred is a mother, writer, author, radio personality, blogger, gamer, tech enthusiast, science nerd, sci-fi and fantasy freak, hard core Trekker, has an unnatural obsession with Optimus Prime and so much more.

In early 2008, she began her career in radio when she was hired by another radio as their Programming Director. When the station finally hit the airwaves in September 2008, that is when she began to host her Geeky Pleasures radio show. Once a week for 2 hours, she played a wide variety of music including many geeky songs and discussed with her listeners some geek topic of the week. She has had some pretty well-known geeks sit across from her during her shows, including interviews with: The King of Geek Wil Wheaton, MTV Executive Producer Shane Nickerson, Bad Astronomer Phil Plait PhD and geek music sensation Jonathan Coulton. In 2009, she also took on the additional duties of Assistant General Manager of the station and launched her Geeky Pleasures website when her show and blog could no longer adequately fill the demand she was receiving to share her “unique brand of geekiness”. After helping to create and build another radio station in 2010, she decided it was time for her to move on and do her own thing, enabling her to make a specific vision a reality. With a passion for music, entertaining the world and helping others to realise their same dreams, she is extremely happy to be launching The Look 24/7, where the Geeky Pleasures Radio show, plus more, will continue to live.

There are many places you can find her online: Geeky Pleasures website, personal blog, the Lupus Awareness Virtual Art Gallery, GeekMom, Star Wars vs Star Trek, Nerds in Babeland, The Lupus Magazine, Google+ here and follow her on Twitter @GeekyJules.

You can listen to Jules' shows Mondays 1 pm PT/4 pm ET to 5 pm PT/8 pm ET and Fridays 5 pm PT/8 pm ET to 9pm PT/Midnight ET. Geeky Pleasures will air Friday nights beginning at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET

The B4 Alternative

Location: Milford, Massachusetts, USA

Genre: Sports, Rock and Pointless Rambling

The B4 Alternative started back in 2005, just as a one man deal with a small college radio station. Eric “B4” Belseth is the original creator of the show and is still the main host. It started as a late night show that played mostly grunge rock and classic tunes, but soon evolved into a radio show that played music that wasn’t heard on the radio all that often. From there, around late 2008, the addition of Tom “Detinata”  Nappi brought sarcastic banter to a whole new level.  Andrew “Candyman” Forget would soon follow, and a whole new level of intensity was soon born!

From May of 2009 until early August of 2011, The B4 Alternative show spent time on internet and FM radio in New York. Looking for a change, the group has finally arrived at The Look to take the internet radio world by storm! If it’s vicious, they’ll play it, because they are “Vicious Music For Vicious People”.

You can visit their MySpace here, visit their YouTube here, 'Like' them on Facebook here and follow them on Twitter @b4alternative

You can listen to The B4 Alternative's Sports Blast, Thursdays 5 pm PT/8 pm ET to 7 pm PT/9 pm ET by visiting masportsweb.com
